
When Mercado Libre scored a sponsorship deal of Brazil's biggest football team, Flamengo, they knew they also had to bring progress to their women's league.
The more we learned about the state of women's football in Brazil and around the world, the more it became clear that we could only effectively help in the success of female leagues by fostering talent at the base. So the SponsorShe (Elas Jogam) initiative was born.
Through the purchase of a football starter kit on the platform's website — including a Mercado Libre x Flamengo jersey — all girls could get free access to any of Flamengo's schools across the country and fulfill their dreams of becoming the next generation's Marta.
